HLTAID012 – Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
Enrol in CourseThis course applies ONLY to educators and support staff working within an early education and child care setting, who are required to respond to first aid emergencies, asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. Students will
be assessed on a combination of practical activities and on the completion of the workbook theory component.
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the following unit of competency: HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education Care Setting.
This course is inclusive of CPR.
This course covers the following:
-CPR
-Allergic Reactions
-Bleeding control
-Choking and airway obstruction
-Fractures, Sprains and strains,
-using a arm sling, roller bandages or other appropriate immobilisation techniques.
-Respiratory distress, Asthma
-Shock Management
