HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

The ability to perform first aid is an essential life skill that can sometimes mean the difference between life and death. First aid skills are also often required across a range of workplaces. Basic first aid training allows you to perform critical tasks such as CPR, wound care and allergic reaction response.

First Aid Level 1 training and re accreditation will be provided by the mixed mode format. Successful participants will be awarded a Statement of attainment for the following unit of Competency: HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

This course is inclusive of CPR.

This course covers the following:

-Performing CPR -Basic life support
-DRABCD -Care of unconscious person
-Severe Allergic reaction
-Care of unconscious person
-Demonstrate the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
-Bleeding and wound care
-Infection control
-and much more

 

You will need to complete pre reading and a workbook prior to attending your class, this will take on average 2 hour. Please ensure you enrol with enough time to complete the activities prior to class.
