The BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is a highly sought after qualification for individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers.
This course will teach you how to take on responsibility as an individual as well as provide leadership and guidance to support others. Learn how to apply solutions to a defined range of problems and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources while monitoring the output of their team.
Students are encouraged to continue their Leadership and Management education, by enrolling into the public Diploma of Leadership and Management.

The Nationally Recognised Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course is delivered via Zoom over 12 sessions running from 6:30pm-8:30pm, for approximately 10 months.
Total classroom hours: 24
Estimated study hours: 5 hours per week

Knowledge
Students will require a sound understanding of how to navigate computers along with software (Word, PowerPoint), opening and closing documents, saving documents, formatting documents, typing and using the internet for searching and emails. Students who are not confident using computers are welcome to enrol in one of the short computer courses provided by MSA Training and Professional Development.
Students are required to fill out a Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment during the enrolment process. For those with difficulty filling out the LLN form MSA Training and Professional Development offers a beginners’ ESL and individual ESL classes. During enrolment students will also undergo a pre-training review which will help make sure this course is right for you and identify any additional support you may need.
Attendance
Students who are unable to attend all sessions of their timetable will be able to watch previous Zoom recordings of the sessions they were absent for.
Group-work is required for this qualification and students will be assessed on their level of participation.
Assessment methods and requirements
Assessments will involve students working in groups for role-plays and projects. Written assessments and case studies to obtain learner knowledge will be conducted in the classroom and as homework.
Assessments are to be submitted to your trainer within 4 weeks of the unit/cluster.
Technology
Please ensure you have a laptop with Microsoft Word, or equivalent, for campus-based classes.
A computer with Microsoft Word, or equivalent, sufficient internet connection, camera and mic for zoom classes, before enrolling into this qualification.

Natarsha Krug
Natarsha’s desire to work within an adult learning environment led her into the VET sector in 2007.
Natarsha is an experienced Senior Trainer and Assessor skilled in both online and classroom facilitation with an expertise in all things TAE as well as teaching literacy and numeracy. June 2022 Natarsha accepted an opportunity to relocate to the Tiwi Islands for 6 months to join the Tiwi Island Training and Education Board as a LLND specialist. Natarsha is also experienced in delivering Diploma and Certificate IV qualifications in Leadership and Management, Business, Retail, Business Administration, Foundations Skill programs as well as teaching English.
Natarsha has a demonstrated history of assisting students to continue a lifelong learning journey, gain employment, upskill and achieve their goals. She is passionate in coaching adults in a professional context, working with international students and assisting adults with language, literacy and numeracy needs. Natarsha is best known for her calm demeanour, empathetic approach, high level of engagement, humour and endless patience who strives to make the learning experience enjoyable and enriching for all students.
