Early Childhood Education Traineeships

Early Childhood Education Traineeships

Traineeships are available for both the Certificate III and Diploma level qualifications. Please note we currently only have government funding remaining for the Certificate III course so fees will apply to all Diploma enrolments.

Early Childhood Education Traineeships

You will receive assessments to complete based on your current role (employee or placement volunteer) and daily tasks. Assessments will be marked by your trainer who will visit you once a month at your workplace and communicate with you throughout the month. There is no need to attend campus or classes, except for a one-day first aid course held on our Clayton campus.

Some key differences are:

Workplace-based training can be undertaken either by employees or volunteers. Volunteers cannot undertake traineeships.

Traineeships need to be approved by the VRQA under a training contract and trainees need to be signed up with an apprenticeship centre.

The employers of trainees doing approved traineeships may be eligible for wage subsidies and incentive payments when trainees commence and complete their training.
